The world of luxury sailing continues to evolve, and the sale of Onyx II marks another highlight for yacht enthusiasts who appreciate refined craftsmanship and timeless design. With its blend of performance, comfort, and elegance, this 30-metre Nautor Swan yacht remains an appealing choice for travellers who value long-range capability and premium onboard living.
The sale of Onyx II brought together respected names in the yachting industry. Matthew Lester from Fraser Yachts represented the buyer, while Vesa Kaukonen of LARGEYACHT.CO introduced the seller. The collaboration ensured a smooth transaction for a vessel that continues to attract interest thanks to its reputation for quality and its strong sailing heritage.
Onyx II underwent an extensive refit between 2021 and 2022 at Baltic Yachts in Mallorca, a process that elevated both her performance and aesthetics. The updates refreshed key systems, refined the deck layout, and modernised interior elements without compromising the classic Swan style. These improvements strengthened her position as a ready-to-sail yacht offering reliability and contemporary comfort.
The interior embraces warm-toned cabinetry, polished wood flooring, and elegant paneling arranged around a semi-raised saloon layout. The yacht accommodates up to eight guests across four staterooms, including a full-beam master suite positioned aft for added privacy. The additional guest cabins provide comfort and balance, making the yacht suitable for family cruising or hosting friends.
On deck, the aft lounge creates a welcoming atmosphere with plush seating surrounding a fixed wooden table ideal for open-air dining. A dedicated sunbathing area positioned just forward offers room to relax while enjoying sea views. These outdoor spaces blend comfort and leisure, giving guests multiple options for unwinding during long days on the water.
Powered by a single Perkins Sabre engine, Onyx II maintains a cruising speed of 11 knots, supporting smooth and efficient sailing. This dependable propulsion system matches well with the yacht’s sailing pedigree and lightweight construction. At the time of sale, her last known asking price stood at €5,750,000, reflecting her condition, upgrades, and strong reputation within the market.
