Hollywood prepares for a cinematic treat as Martin Scorsese lines up Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence for his next big project. The film, titled What Happens At Night, promises a blend of mystery, suspense, and Scorsese’s signature storytelling.
What Happens At Night is adapted from Peter Cameron’s ghost novel. The story follows a married couple traveling to Europe to adopt a child, only to find themselves in a sinister hotel with eccentric characters. With Scorsese at the helm, the eerie atmosphere is expected to be elevated into a chilling cinematic experience.
DiCaprio has become a regular collaborator with Scorsese, starring in classics like The Wolf of Wall Street and The Departed. For Lawrence, however, this marks her first on-screen project directed by Scorsese. Their combined star power promises strong chemistry and a captivating performance that will intrigue both critics and fans.
Playwright Patrick Marber penned the screenplay, while production talks involve Apple Original Films and Studiocanal. Their involvement ensures the adaptation stays faithful to the source material while delivering cinematic flair, blending literary depth with Scorsese’s visionary direction.
Lawrence is currently preparing for the release of Die, My Love, with Scorsese already attached as a producer. DiCaprio, meanwhile, has just launched One Battle After Another in UK cinemas. The last time both stars shared the screen was in the 2021 Netflix hit Don’t Look Up.
While further casting details remain under wraps, production is rumored to start in January. With such a powerhouse team involved, anticipation is building quickly, making this one of the most talked-about upcoming projects in Hollywood.
