Fans of Korean Content are in for a treat this month as Disney+ unveils a fresh slate of Korean storytelling, leading with the highly anticipated premiere of Perfect Crown. The touching romantic comedy brings together two of Korea’s biggest stars, IU and Byeon Wooseok, to make their long-awaited on-screen debut.

Streaming on Disney+ from April 10, Perfect Crown follows the story of Huiju, a wealthy conglomerate heir of commoner status, who enters a marriage of convenience with the nation’s most beloved royal, Grand Prince I-AN. As their union faces intense public backlash and looming threats, the two must work together to advance their own ends. However, as they navigate these challenges, genuine emotions begin to flare, leading to an unpredictable turn of events that neither of them planned for.

The first episode will premiere on April 10, followed by the second episode on April 11. The series will then continue with two new episodes released weekly, every Friday and Saturday.

Perfect Crown stars IU (When Life Gives You Tangerines, My Mister) as Huiju, the second in line to inherit one of Korea’s biggest conglomerates, and Byeon Wooseok (Lovely Runner, Strong Girl Nam-soon) as Grand Prince I-AN. The series is directed by Park Joonhwa (Alchemy of Souls, What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim) and is written by Yoo Jiwon.


Coming on April is 29th is Gold Land, a high-stakes crime thriller starring Park Boyoung as Heeju, a struggling part-timer whose life takes a dangerous turn after landing a job at Yangyang Airport. When she becomes entangled with a charming co-pilot and is asked to hide mysterious cargo, she soon discovers gold smuggled stolen by a syndicate. What begins as an opportunity quickly spirals into a chaotic world of greed and betrayal, as Heeju strikes a risky deal to cash in on the gold. With ruthless forces closing in and a relentless chase unfolding, she is pushed into a desperate fight for survival, where trust is fragile and every decision could cost her everything.


Plus, from April 22nd, viewers can stream The Nice Guy and Our Movie, two standout dramas that highlight the breadth of Korean storytelling across genres, from heartfelt romance to deeply emotional, character-led narratives. The Nice Guy follows a kind-hearted gangster who longs for a better life and an aspiring singer chasing her dreams against the odds, as their unlikely connection unfolds. Our Movie tells the story of a struggling filmmaker and a terminally ill woman whose lives intersect in unexpected ways, reigniting purpose, love, and a sense of possibility.


Fans of Korean storytelling have a lot more to look forward to! The highly anticipated second seasons of A Shop For Killers and Made In Korea will stream later this year, as well as Doctor on the Edge starring Lee Jae-Wook and Shin Ye-Eun, The Remarried Empress starring Shin Mina, Ju Jihoon, Lee Jongsuk, and Lee Seyoung, and Portraits of Delusion with Kim Seon-ho, Bae Suzy, and Kin Young-kwang.
