In collaboration with Riot Games MENA for The Arabian League – League of Legends (LoL), Kia Middle East & Africa successfully concluded its social media campaign, “League of Legends powered by Kia MEA.” The campaign invited fans in Saudi Arabia to submit their artworks, merging their passion for gaming with Kia's innovative electric vehicle design. This initiative further solidifies Kia's commitment to fostering meaningful connections within the vibrant eSports community in the MENA region.
The social media campaign challenged participants to unleash their creativity by designing League of Legends champions inspired by the distinctive aesthetics of the Kia EV9 or EV5. The campaign unfolded with an initial submission period, followed by a public voting phase on Instagram stories where the community helped select the top 10 artworks from a shortlist of 20. The excitement culminated in a highly anticipated raffle draw, conducted under the supervision of the Saudi Chamber of Commerce, where four winners with original hand-drawn artworks were announced: Osama bin Anwar bin Othman Qurban (Username: 2.s3m) from Medina, who won a Kia K3; Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Faraj Al Mohammed bin Laith Al Saiari (Username: znr7m) from Riyadh, awarded a Samsung Galaxy Tablet S10 Ultra and a Samsung Buds3 Pro; Nader bin Muteb bin Faleh Al Khamshi Al Anzi (Username: toldnlx) from Riyadh, who received a PlayStation 5 Pro and a PlayStation Pulse Elite Wireless Headset; Abdul Rahim bin Attia bin Abdullah Al Khuraisyi Al Zahrani (Username: qlmrasas_) from Dammam, who took home an Eco Show 8 (Alexa) and $300 Amazon Gift Card. Speaking about their participation, one of the winners stated: "I have loved drawing since I was young, and the first time I visited a Kia showroom I was fascinated by their car designs. When I learned about the Kia competition, I was excited to participate, especially when I saw the design of the EV5 and EV9. I was inspired by their modernity and power, and I tried to reflect this feeling in my own way through art." In addition to the social media campaign, Kia’s partnership with LoL extended to on-ground fan experiences, including watch parties in Bahrain, Egypt, and Jordan, where gaming enthusiasts gathered to cheer on contestants and celebrate the spirit of competition. This campaign not only celebrated the artistic talent of the gaming community but also highlighted Kia's pioneering spirit in sustainable mobility and design.
