IHG Hotels & Resorts’ premium brand voco hotels is celebrating a milestone five years after launching – reaching 100 open hotels across more than 20 countries. With 10 new openings in 2024 alone, voco continues to be IHG’s fastest-growing premium brand. First launched in Australia in 2018, voco hotels combine the reassurance of a big brand with the informality and charm of an individual hotel, and has proven popular with guests and owners alike.
New voco hotels that opened in 2024 include: voco Seoul Myeongdong and voco Osaka Central – both marking the brand’s debut in South Korea and Japan respectively – voco Guadalajara Neruda in Mexico, voco Jaipur Tonk Road in India, voco Dubai The Palm in the UAE and voco Avignon – Le Brûnet in France.
The brand has also signed more than 100 properties and is on track to open more than one hotel per month, on average, in the coming years. In 2024, voco made its debut in China with the opening of voco Hefei Binhu. The brand is expected to grow in key markets including the US, Saudi Arabia, India, the UK, and Australia.
The brand’s rapid growth has been fuelled by its efficient conversion model, which allows high-quality independent hotels or those from unbranded collections to join IHG’s enterprise in a short period of time. In fact, more than half of voco hotels have been conversions. Voco is known for delivering standout stays and has high guest satisfaction scores – with 82% of guests likely to recommend the brand after their stay.
