La Ville Hotel & Suites, City Walk Dubai, unveiled an inspiring evening on its 4th floor, marking the beginning of a captivating new art series under The Secret Gallery. This initiative, presented in collaboration with Mestaria Gallery, reinforces La Ville’s commitment to offering guests and visitors an enhanced cultural experience that blends creativity, community and contemporary luxury.
Reflecting La Ville’s boutique spirit and dedication to curating unique, immersive moments, The Secret Gallery serves as a platform that celebrates art, dialogue and design in equal measure. The inaugural event introduced ‘Struggle in the Soil’ by acclaimed artist Simon Back, whose work explores themes of identity, resilience and transformation. Born in Harare, trained in Cape Town, and now based in Mauritius, Back’s pieces have been showcased in international exhibitions, including Zeitz MOCAA’s Five Bhobh – Painting at the End of an Era (2018–2019).
The evening drew together Dubai’s creative community, collectors and art enthusiasts in an intimate setting that reflects the hotel’s vision which is to be a home for sophisticated discovery and meaningful connections. Through this series, La Ville continues to champion cultural engagement and artistic expression, transforming its 4th floor into a dynamic space where art meets hospitality.
The collaboration with Mestaria Gallery will span three months, featuring a rotating selection of emerging and established artists. Following the October debut, upcoming showcases will take place on 11th November and 12th December, each promising a fresh creative encounter and a renewed sense of inspiration.
