Guests are invited to take their place at a table that feels like it belongs in the Italian countryside, where home-style dishes sun-drenched views of Dubai Creek, and the spirit of Sunday lunch come together to create something truly special.
Nonna, the Italian word for grandmother, evokes more than a name. It’s a feeling of a slow afternoon filled with laughter, the smell of something bubbling on the stove, and food made with love, not fuss. That’s the essence of Nonna’s Table - a heartfelt nod to tradition and the unspoken magic of shared meals.
Each Sunday, Boardwalk will serve up generous sharing dishes that feel like they’ve come straight from Nonna’s kitchen. Each dish specially curated by Chef Sydney Stranger, Director of Culinary at Dubai Creek Resort and Chef Cristiano Bellantoni, Head Chef of Boardwalk, the feast begins with a round of comforting starters, including golden potato frittata, house-baked focaccia, charcuterie board, rotating seasonal salad, and a bowl of comforting soup that changes each week, among other hearty options. The mains, however, are an Italian adventure as Boardwalk presents dishes such as herb-roasted baby chicken with potatoes, braised meat of the day, Roma-style thin crust pizza, and rotating pastas that promise to be the perfect partner to an afternoon filled with great conversations and even better food.
The dreamy afternoon comes to an end with desserts that are as sweet as a grandmother’s hug, with options including Paradise Cake with dippings or the Rustic Cake - a rotating selection of rustic Italian bakes just like Nonna used to make.
