The design enhances hydrodynamic efficiency, allowing smooth long range cruising. Nauta Yacht Design crafts the interior across multiple decks, creating generous living spaces that prioritize privacy, comfort, and understated sophistication, giving the feel of a private floating retreat rather than a conventional yacht.

Dragonfly relies on a hybrid diesel electric propulsion system developed by MAN, paired with electric azimuth pod drives. This setup delivers flexibility, fuel efficiency, and a noticeably quieter sailing experience. The system minimizes vibration while maintaining strong performance, allowing the yacht to reach speeds of up to 24 knots with exceptional stability supported by advanced navigation and stabilization technologies.

The yacht offers nearly 2000 square meters of interior space alongside expansive outdoor areas designed for relaxation and social gatherings. Multiple decks house swimming pools, entertainment systems, and refined lounges. Two helipads ensure seamless access wherever the yacht travels, while guest suites provide privacy and luxury for up to 18 guests, supported by an estimated crew of 40 professionals.

The project began under the name Alibaba before changing ownership during construction. Eventually acquired by Google co founder Sergey Brin, the yacht gained a new identity aligned with technological vision and forward thinking design. This transition added depth to Dragonfly story, merging traditional yacht craftsmanship with a modern focus on efficiency and innovation.

Built by Lurssen Yachts, a shipyard established in 1875, Dragonfly reinforces the brand reputation for creating some of the world largest and most complex yachts. With a gross tonnage exceeding 9400, the yacht reflects precision engineering, craftsmanship, and seamless integration of technology.
