RM Sothebys has turned up the heat ahead of its Monaco auction on 25 April with a fresh wave of collector cars valued at around 30 million euros. That latest group of 13 consignments pushes the sale’s total low estimate beyond 87 million euros, giving the event even more weight in a season already packed with high end automotive headlines. For collectors, this is not just another luxury car auction. It is shaping up as one of the most exciting gatherings of blue chip classics, rare competition cars, and modern halo machines to hit Monaco this year.
What makes this latest update especially appealing is the quality of the names now attached to the catalog. Bugatti, Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, and Lamborghini all appear in a lineup that mixes rarity, low mileage, motorsport history, and serious collector appeal. Some cars bring original factory charm, others arrive with major restorations or fascinating competition stories, and together they create the kind of auction roster that naturally pulls attention from enthusiasts across the world.
Leading the newest group of consignments is a 2024 Bugatti Bolide, and it arrives with the kind of numbers that immediately grab attention. RM Sothebys estimates the hypercar at 3.5 to 4.5 million euros, making it one of the most valuable additions to the sale. As one of only 40 examples produced, the Bolide stands as the most extreme expression of Bugatti’s W16 era and the most powerful model the company has ever built. This specific example has covered only 359 kilometers from new and also left the factory with nearly 300,000 euros in optional extras, which only adds to its desirability for buyers chasing something truly exclusive.
Close behind it is a 1989 Ferrari F40 Berlinetta, estimated at 3.5 to 4 million euros. While Ferrari F40s are no strangers to major auctions, this one stands out thanks to its specification, mileage, and condition. It is a European non cat non adjust example and has covered just 1,779 kilometers from new. After spending years in long term storage between 1992 and 2021, it was recommissioned through a preservation grade mechanical overhaul by Michelotto. With matching numbers and original paint still present throughout, the car carries the kind of authenticity that serious Ferrari buyers look for.
The third major star is a 1957 Porsche 550A Spyder, estimated at 3.5 to 3.8 million euros. That alone would be enough to make it important, but its story pushes it even further. Restored over six years by marque expert Andy Prill, this Porsche was originally supplied to sportscar legend Jack McAfee and brings with it strong Southern California competition history. Its period racing success includes SCCA victories at Palm Springs, Riverside, Pomona, Laguna Seca, and Phoenix. That combination of historic significance, expert restoration, and period competition pedigree makes it one of the most compelling cars in the entire sale.
Ferrari is once again one of the biggest attractions in Monaco, and the brand’s latest additions bring depth as well as star power. Beyond the headline F40 Berlinetta, RM Sothebys has added several other important Ferraris that strengthen what already looked like an impressive Maranello lineup. Among them is a 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB 4 finished in Rosso Chiaro over Pelle Nera, estimated at 2.5 to 3 million euros. It is joined by a rare 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB 6C in Argento over Pelle Nera, estimated at 2.3 to 2.5 million euros. Both cars speak directly to collectors who appreciate front engine Ferrari grand tourers from one of the brand’s most admired eras.
The sale also includes a 1967 Ferrari 330 GTS by Pininfarina, estimated at 1.4 to 1.8 million euros. With only 99 built and this example carrying four concours platinum awards, it adds elegance and rarity to the catalog. These are not simply expensive cars with famous badges. They represent different sides of Ferrari history, from road going beauty and V12 prestige to more raw and race inspired performance machines.
That racing side becomes even more interesting with two standout competition focused Ferraris. One is a 1990 Ferrari F40 Competition Conversion by Hamann Motorsport, estimated at 2.25 to 2.75 million euros. Originally a road car, it was transformed into race specification in Germany and later competed in the 1996 Global GT Series, making it one of the few F40s with true period racing pedigree. The other is the 1984 Ferrari 308 GT M, estimated at 1.5 to 2 million euros and one of only three built. It was the first purpose built race car created by the Michelotto family and played a key role in the development path that would eventually lead to the 288 GTO and F40. That kind of backstory gives the Monaco Ferrari selection more depth than a standard catalog of desirable road cars.
Mercedes Benz brings a very different flavor to the auction, and that is part of what makes the overall catalog feel so complete. The modern star from Stuttgart is the 2024 Mercedes AMG ONE, estimated at 2.4 to 2.8 million euros. As one of just 275 examples of the Formula 1 inspired halo hypercar, it instantly commands attention. This particular car has had only one owner and has covered a mere 89 kilometers from new, which gives it the sort of factory fresh appeal that collectors love in limited production modern hypercars.
The classic side of the Mercedes offering is just as appealing. A 1956 Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing, estimated at 1.6 to 1.8 million euros, brings iconic design and an extra layer of intrigue. Delivered new with Rudge wheels from the factory, it was reportedly intended for the 1957 Mille Miglia, though it apparently never reached the race. That unfulfilled motorsport connection adds a touch of mystery to one of the most recognizable collector cars ever made.
Rounding out the trio is a 1963 Mercedes Benz 300 SL Roadster from the model’s final production year, estimated at 1.5 to 1.7 million euros. This alloy block, disc brake example represents what many collectors see as the most complete and developed version of the 300 SL Roadster. The fact that it also comes with its factory supplied hardtop makes it even more desirable. Together, these Mercedes entries give the Monaco sale both cutting edge technology and historic prestige, showing how wide the appeal of this auction really is.
The latest additions are not limited to Bugatti, Ferrari, Porsche, and Mercedes Benz. RM Sothebys has also secured several other eye catching consignments that help balance the sale with more modern collector icons. One of them is a 2022 Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, estimated at 1.2 to 1.8 million euros. With only 40 examples built, it represents the final celebration of Lamborghini’s naturally aspirated non hybrid V12 philosophy. This example has covered just 505 kilometers from new, making it a highly appealing option for collectors who want one of Sant Agata’s wildest recent creations.
Another major modern standout is the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, estimated at 2 to 2.5 million euros. Finished in Basalt Black Metallic, one of the rarer colors offered on the model, it stands out from the more common silver examples that many enthusiasts immediately picture. It has covered 20,758 kilometers from new and has traveled only 18 kilometers since its last service in April 2025. For many collectors, the Carrera GT continues to grow in stature thanks to its analog character, manual transmission, and unforgettable V10 powertrain.
These latest consignments join an already impressive broader roster that includes a 1962 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider, a one of nine silver 2004 Ferrari Enzo, and a 2018 Ferrari FXX K Evo. That wider context matters, because it shows Monaco is not just getting a few headline lots. It is getting a truly layered and high value catalog built around some of the most desirable names in the collector car world. With the total low estimate now above 87 million euros, RM Sothebys has created a sale that feels less like a regular auction and more like a showcase of automotive royalty.
