With just one month until the most exciting racing on water’s most dramatic finale, the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Sail Grand Prix 2025 Season Grand Final, presented by Abu Dhabi Sports Council, promises to deliver what few other championships can – a sporting spectacle where nothing is decided until the final seconds.
On Saturday November 29 and Sunday November 30, the world will witness genuine winner-takes-all drama unfold as Mina Zayed is transformed into the ultimate festival of sport and culture.
While many championships crown their victor with races to spare, the Rolex SailGP 2025 Season Championship delivers something entirely different. Imagine attending a title decider where the champion isn't predetermined – where every maneuver, every tactical decision, and every gust of wind could rewrite history. That's exactly what awaits fans in Abu Dhabi.
After 11 adrenaline-fueled events spanning four continents and thousands of racing miles, four elite national teams – Emirates GBR, the Black Foils, the BONDS Flying Roos, and Los Gallos – arrive in the UAE capital with dreams of glory. But here's what makes the Grand Final truly special: a year's worth of racing comes down to one single, winner-takes-all showdown.
The format is beautifully simple yet devastatingly dramatic. Two days of fleet racing in Abu Dhabi will decide the top three in the overall standings between the Brits, Kiwis, Aussies and Spanish. Whoever finishes top – if they don't cross the line first in the final race of the event, they go home empty-handed. The underdog in third place? If they nail their tactics and catch the right wind shift in that decisive moment, they claim the championship and the $2 million on offer.
We've all been there – arriving at a championship event only to find the title already mathematically secured, the tension deflated, the drama dissolved. Not in Abu Dhabi. Not at SailGP's Grand Final.
Every single spectator – whether watching from the Waterfront Grandstand or in the Waterfront Premium Lounge x Nobu by the Beach – will witness genuine, unscripted sporting theatre. When those three F50 catamarans explode off the starting line for the Grand Final race, flying across the water at speeds exceeding 100 km/h, no one knows who will emerge as champion.
It's sports entertainment in its purest form – raw, unpredictable, and decided in real-time before your eyes. No calculations, no what-ifs, no consolation prizes. Just three teams, one racecourse, and winner takes all.
Adding to the spectacular weekend, globally recognized platinum-selling pop sensation Olly Murs will headline Saturdays Après-Sail celebration, presented by Mastercard. As the sun sets over the Arabian Gulf following day one's racing, Olly – backed by a full band – will perform hits including ‘Troublemaker’ and ‘Dance With Me Tonight’. With over 2 million tour tickets sold and 5.7 million monthly Spotify listeners, his performance comes just eight days after the release of his eighth studio album 'Knees Up.'
On Sunday November 30, popular Heart presenter, TV personality and DJ Mark Wright will perform at Après-Sail, closing an unforgettable weekend of sport and entertainment.
This year's entertainment lineup follows last year's Abu Dhabi debut, which featured a live performance from Take That, while international artists DJ Pete Tong, Tom Grennan, and Loud Luxury have provided iconic shoreside entertainment at other SailGP destinations globally.
Tickets for the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Sail Grand Prix are on sale now, with Waterfront Grandstand tickets starting at $75 for adults and at $295 for adults for the Waterfront Premium Lounge x Nobu by the Beach.
